Common Questions
Do I need a public adjuster?
Not always. If the damage is minor and your insurer's estimate covers it, you may not. It's most helpful when the damage is significant, the estimate seems low, the claim was denied, or the process feels overwhelming.
What does it cost?
No upfront costs. We're paid a percentage of the claim payment, set out in a written contract. Fees vary between 10% and 20% of the claim payment, as stated in your written contract.
Can I hire one after I've already filed?
Yes. Many people call after receiving an estimate or a denial. Florida has claim deadlines, so the sooner the better.
How do I know an adjuster is licensed?
Florida requires public adjusters to be licensed, and you can look up any license through the Florida Department of Financial Services. Mine is #W518183.
